Last Scalloped Treat Box, I promise!!! 😂

My online crafty buddy and co-admin, Robyn, suggested that I make a coffee shop since I was on a roll with Lawn Fawn Scalloped Treat Box die. So I did!!! Super happy with the way it turned out! ❤️

First I die cut out the box with some white cardstock.  I then scored on all the lines like i was going to assemble the box, masked off the areas I was going to put paste on and started laying some Heidi Swapp Raspberry Art Screen Ink (aka embossing paste) down using the Small Brick Wall stencil from MFT.  I did the front and back of the box first, set it aside and when dried, I did the sides of the box.

While all that was drying, I die cut all the embellishments to decorate the box.  I used:

  • Lawn Fawn, Winter House Add On dies for the door
  • Lawn Fawn, Spring House Add On dies for the windows, flowers & flower boxes, trees, roof
  • Lawn Fawn stamp set, Love You a Latte for the little coffee person
  • Lawn Fawn stamp set, Village Shops for the coffee cup & sign on the front door
  • Taylored Expressions die, Spare Parts for the coffee persons arm (lol)

I assembled everything and am pretty happy with the way it turned out.  I love the imperfect details of the brick. It has LOTS of texture for sure.  One tip that I have for you is to use a white gel pen to really POP the brick outline.  The stencil did not lay completely flat and so some embossing paste smeared onto where it was suppose to be white.  After the paste dried, I just took a white gel pen and defined those white lines in between the brick.  Not all, but most so that it still has that rustic texture.

That coffee girl was a last minute addition.  The door opens and closes… and thought it could use something hanging out or in the doorway… so there she is.. waving hello to you! LOL! ♥  Thanks for visiting my bloggy blog!  Hugs- Kim

LF Dog House… ♥

Hello!!!

I cannot stop making these cute houses!!! I LOVE the Scalloped Treat Box and ALL of the add on dies!  This time, I am using the new Dog House add on set.  If you know me, you know I love doggies… so this was a must have!  There was no tutorial or intro video for this set, so I kinda had to wing it using the sample image on their website.  Hopefully they come out with one!

I layered white cardstock and the pink/green polka dot cardstock to make the “slats” you would find on a dog house… used pink sparkly cardstock for her bowl & bone up on the roof.  I cut that cute little doggy out in tan felt and decorated her with a blingy bow and collar!  I also glued a piece of black cardstock on the backside to darken her eyes and nose.

This set is soooo cute! And that pup is even cuter!!! Thanks for stopping by!  Hugs- Kim

Mini houses galore!!!

Hello all!!! Today, I just wanted to share with you the little houses I made!!! Thank goodness for patterned card stock!!! When mass producing by hand, you need all the help you can get… so, no stamping; just lots of cutting, gluing, and assembling!  I kept it simple, by only using the doors, windows, & roofs because the patterned card stock was more than enough decoration!

I used the Scalloped  Treat Box for the boxes (obviously) and used a combination of the roof, windows & doors from the Winter House & Spring House add on dies.

These will be going inside thank you goodie bags for customers of our small business (not craft related, unfortunately)! ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for stopping by! Hugs- Kim

So for these two cards…  I stayed true to my color scheme, but I did change up the style… I was cruising through Pinterest and found this one… and thought it would be fun to give it a go because all it took to make that coffee cup was 2 circle dies!

Coffee Lovers Bloghop, Day 6… Books n Coffee.. ♥ Perfect blend!

Hello again!!! Thanks for stopping by again..  only a couple of more days til this Coffee Lovers Blog Hop ends… waaaaah!  I thought this hop was going to be overwhelming and too much, but in actuality… it was really do-able.  Loving & having coffee themed supplies does help quite a bit!  I can say my collection of coffee stuff has been used thoroughly!

coffee blog

The card I made was a layout I’ve used before… but I thought the stamp image was so sweet and called for a environment like the one I created.  Just a girl laying on her rug with a book, her coffee… and her cell phone! LOL!

The supplies I used are:

  • Lawn Fawn- Quilted Backdrop die & Mini Picture Frames die set.
  • The Ink Road- Katya for the sweet girl, iced coffee, & sentiment.
  • Honey Bee Stamps- Blah Bunny for the rug.

Other supplies:

  • Memento Ink
  • White gel pen
  • Wink of Stella

I love this image so much!  I added the white polka dots on her top and cuff of her pants to give it more of a playful look… and I think she likes polka dots! ♥

Thanks so much for visiting! Hugs- Kim

Coffee Lovers Bloghop, Day 5… Beans, beans.. the magical fruit… LOL!

Hi there!  Thanks for stopping by again for a peek at my latest card for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!!  There are sooooo many amazing cards linked to this blog hop.. and tons too!

coffee blog

So my card today reflects how I feel… on a daily, pretty much! Hahahahhaaaa!  This one was fun to make because I just received the coffee bean background stamp today and I was super excited to ink it up!

Materials used are:

Lawn Fawn:

  • A Birdie Told Me stamp set for the speech bubble.
  • Claire’s ABCs stamp set for the Shhhhh.. sentiment.
  • Large and Small Stitched Rectangle dies.

Love, Cynthia:  Brand New Week stamp set for the poor little girl.

Sweet Stamp Shop: Mugging for the sentiments on the coffee cup.

Studio Calico: for the cup.

Rubbernecker: Coffee Bean background stamp.

Other Supplies:

  • Versmark,  Memento, & Distress inks
  • Various Copics
  • Embossing Powder, Black

I stamped out the background with Versamark and heat set black embossing powder.  I then used Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to water color the background.  I added more color in some areas so that it wasn’t all the same tone.  I also had to custom make the “Shhhh” because I did not have one on hand! ♥  Too much pink? Let me know your thoughts!

Thank you to those who have been leaving comments… I sincerely appreciate the love! Hugs-Kim
