Hoppy Day!!!

Hey there!!! Thanks for hopping by to see my latest creation!  I used a combination of 2 of my favorite cutesy companies, Lawn Fawn & Mama Elephant!  While Lawn Fawn is my first love, Mama Elephant is right there with the cutesiness (in my opinion)! ♥

For this card, I started with a top folding card base. I die cut all the components of the bunny using Mama Elephant Inside Pop – Bunny & Cat out of white cardstock. I chose to do this because I wanted to use my Copics to color in any elements I wanted… like I added pink to the inside of the ears and the cheeks, some light gray to the body and face etc. After adding some light coloring, I set aside the bunny and set to work on the background of the card. I die cut a stencil using the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border and used the negative piece to mask just past the fold, since this is a “3-d” kinda card…. And used my green distress inks to color in the grass and the bottom portion of the card. For the sky background, I used my trusty cloud stencil, my home made one. I also die cut a sun from Spring Showers, some clouds using Simply Puffy Cloud Frames, and a carrot from Stitched Garden Border (cause ya know, a bunny’s gotta have her carrot). After all that I assembled the inside of the card. It was pretty easy to put the bunny together and get it to pop up. Its soooo darn cute!

Now time to work on the outside of the card. I die cut a scalloped stitched mat, smaller than the card, using Gina Marie dies. I ran that through a cloud embossing folder and pondered what to do with it. After thinking about it, I die cut HOPPY DAY using Finely’s ABC’s and Lawn Fawns Really Rainbow cardstock, more specifically, Purple Posies. I laid out the sentiment on the mat and stamped some faces onto some of the surrounding raised clouds using Sweet Smiles (LF gumball set) to give it that extra touch!

That’s it for now… stay tuned for my next creation… thank you! Hugs- Kim
