Thanks for stopping by! Just wanted to share a project I just finished up. I volunteered to hand make some gift card holders for the teachers at the school I work at. Luckily, I was able to spread out each step… first day I cut out all the pocket holders then the tags.. next day I cut our the slits so the gift card can be tucked onto the tag etc etc.. u get the picture. This was definitely an “assembly line” type project.
I started by die cutting the tag holder made by the Stamps of Life, Tag Holder Die Set . Its a great die set which includes the tag holder, tag, slits, and misc icons! Perfect for any occasion! I cut out the tag out of some Doodlebugs cardstock and cut the slits into it as well. The die set also includes the stitched square which makes it sooo easy to decorate the holder. I cut out the stitched square out of different cardstock and added some green glitter tape to the front to break up the busy pattern.
I punched out the red cardstock with a scallop punch, but you could definitely use a scalloped die if you don’t have a punch. I also punched out a white circle to stamp some easy to color images onto. After it was all said and done, I did not want to sit there and color a whole lot, so the snowman from Lawn Fawn’s Ready, Set, Snow stamp set was perfect as I only had to color the scarf and earmuffs.
I also used Mama Elephant’s Artic Penguins. These images are the EASIEST to use for no coloring… its almost like cheating! LOL.. and you still get a really cute image! All I did was use an orange Copics to lightly color in those cute beaks and feet.
The last set I used is from My Favorite Things, Bitty Bears. I LOVE this set. How adorable are they?? And so easy to color!
Lastly, I looped through some green glitter ribbon, that coordinates well with the glitter tape, through the hold and stapled it with some colored staples and popped up the image on foam tape. You can’t really see it, but I also added Wink of Stella to the “ground” of the images so it looks like they’re on some sparkly snow.
I hope the teachers love this as much I enjoyed making them! Thank for stopping by!!
